Google warns of APOCALYPSE in doomsday message about the return of Jesus Christ | Weird | News

People on Reddit noticed that if you type the word ‘Dog’ several times into Google Translate, you will receive a message which warns of the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

To get the message, head to Google Translate and set the ‘translate from section’ to Yoruba – a west African language.

Then type ‘dog’ into the system 22 times and translate it back to English – and the creepy message will be revealed.

According to Google, the translation of 22x’dog’ is: “Doomsday Clock is three minutes at twelve.

“We are experiencing characters and dramatic developments in the world, which indicate that we are increasingly approaching the end times and Jesus’ return.”

According to Reddit, the message also appeared when you translated it from Hawaiian, but this seems to have been fixed by Google.

The Doomsday Clock – a metaphorical clock created by the The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists which assesses the danger of apocalypse based on the threats such as nuclear Armageddon, bioterrorism, climate change and other catastrophes – is in fact at two minutes to midnight, but that is no reason to dismiss the eerie message.

Experts believe the reason behind the creepy messaging is down to the fact that Google has started using an artificially intelligent system which learns to translate from passages of already existing texts.

Some theorise that Google may have trained its software using passages from the Bible, which is why it ploughs out biblical messages, according to the Register.

The Register states: “This makes sense because the Christian bible is probably one of the world’s most widely translated texts, and thus contains rich training data.

“In other words, it’s a good idea to train an AI using texts translated into multiple languages, in order to get the neural network to connect words in different languages by their common meaning.”
