Like a downgraded moon landings hoax theory, some so-called truth seekers, claim space travel is not possible, and NASA is fooling the world with its daily updates about astronauts’ activities on the space craft.
One conspiracy theorist, who has relied on NASA live streams filmed from the ISS in a bid to prove aliens exist, appears to be curious about the theory.
Scott C Waring has posted scored of clips from the live stream on his website ufosoghtingsdaily.com, pointing out anomalies that he claims are alien craft.
If Mr Waring was to support the ISS hoax theory, he would discredit much of his previous research, as he has repeatedly used the space station’s cameras to claim to have spotted alien UFOs approaching Earth.
However, in a recent post on his website he flirted with the ISS conspiracy theory.
He wrote: “This video was taken back in 2016, but take a close look at the door and you will see that this hatch on the space station is made of a flimsy plastic or tent-like material.
“The door is not air tight, nor is it a real hatch.
“The maker of the video states that this indicates that the space station is actually not really in space, but all just an elaborate act.
“I’m still looking at it, but just can’t imagine how the hell this hatch is suppose to keep space out and air inside. This is truly bewildering.”
Mr Waring even hinted at some sort of cover up over the hoax, claiming that a day after posting details of the theory, Google temporarily took down his site.
He added: “One day later after making this post, Google bans my site, clearly Google is working for the government to keep a lot of secrets from getting into the public hands.”
In an article about the ISS hoax theory, conspiracy website Timetounite.com said: “The International Space Station, just like everything else brought to us by NASA, is a Freemasonic hoax, a complete fabrication done with special effects, models, pools, zero G planes, and various camera tricks.”
There is, of course, lots of evidence that the ISS is in space. Its live stream has produced amazing images of the earth, including storms developing and the Northern Lights in spectacular detail.
It is also visible from the earth as it orbits us at certain times.
NASA has filmed several rocket launches that have then gone on to dock with the ISS to restock it with cargo.
It is used by space agencies across the globe, which all deny that it is anywhere but orbiting Earth.
