The SR-72 Mach 6 plane is being built to replace the iconic Blackbird which was used to spy on Vietnam, North Korea, and the Soviet Union.

The development of the aircraft has been surrounded by secrecy, but now pictures from the online map tool may have found where the new plane is being kept.

Conspiracy theorist Tyler Glockner believes it is possible the new jet has already been built and can be visibly seen in Florida from Google Earth.

He said: “It was discovered sitting on what looks like a sort of make shift runway down in the middle of the swamp lands of Florida.

“It’s a very mysterious object. I haven’t been able to find out exactly what it is but there’s no record of a public aircraft that’s ever been disclosed.

“You can see that this thing looks like a sort of supersonic, aircraft or spacecraft of some type.”

The new jet being developed by the US Air Force is believed to be able to travel at more than 4,600mph.

The unexpected discovery comes just days after Lockheed Martin, the firm responsible for the making of the new aircraft, said they had finished making the hypersonic plane.

Speaking at the SciTech conference Vice Chairman Jack O’Banion, pointed to an artists impression of the SR-72.

At the same time, he said: “Without digital transformation, that aircraft you see there could not have been made.”

Mr O’Banion’s use of the past tense when referring to the new jet implies it already exists.

However, not everyone is convinced that the Google images show the new Blackbird.

One man used Youtube to argue the object looked more like a ship.

They said: “It honestly looks like one of those racing jet boats.

“It looks like a powerboat I live next to the ocean seen this shape before and it is next to swamp land and water’, wrote another user.“
