Very bright fireball recorded over Sao Paulo, Brazil


A very bright fireball was recorded streaking across the night sky over the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil at 00:56 UTC (03:56 local time) on July 11, 2018. The event lasted 3 – 4 seconds.

According to astronomer Julio Lobo of the Jean Nicolini Municipal Observatory in Campinas (SP), it was the brightest fireball recorded by the observatory this year so far.
