More than 100 000 customers were left without power after a powerful storm caused major damage as it moved through New England on June 18, 2018.

Many areas across Massachusetts reported damage, trees and power wires down, from the western part of the state to the North Shore.

While there were no injuries reported, the storm downed a tree on a home in Haverhill while the owners were in front of it. The tree crashed through the ceiling, down to the kitchen floor, Necn reports.

A number of trees and wires were down in Westford, where Old Lowell Road was blocked to traffic.

A downed tree nearly split a home on South Chelmsford in half. Rescue crews said no one was hurt.

Goffstown in New Hampshire also reported heavy damage. Saint Anselm Street was closed after a pole began leaning and got too close to a home.

A car was struck by a tree in Methuen with the driver still inside. Luckily, the driver was able to get out with minor injuries.

By 19:00 local time, more than 100 000 customers in New Hampshire and Massachusetts were without power.
